Deacon Dan: We have the stories from Scripture and the saints about people to whom God came close. What many people don’t realize though, is that God comes close to everyone and he comes close to us every day. God longs to be in relationship, in communion, with each of us. And so, God is constantly revealing his presence with us, his presence within us. As God’s own revealed nature is relationship, God reveals himself to us in our own relationships: our relationships with the world around us and the people we encounter in our lives. I pray that these essays will help you be more aware of the encounters you have with God in your own life.
